Schuyler was a beautiful dark blue and purple betta. He almost lived for 3 years and was a trooper to the end.  He will be missed

Thank you both  I just adopted him too, from my friend. His body was a little bent and he kind of "sat" like we do but sideways. I knew it wouldn't be long, but I really do think he died of old age peacefully the way all fish should go
