I was thinking of getting some shrimp or snails for my ten gallon. Just to help clean up left over food and stir up the gravel. I don't want anything too big or anything that requires special food or conditions. I also plan on breeding the two german rams in the ten gallon so what ever I get can't be a threat to eggs or fry. Any suggestions?

Any of the small shrimps -- "Amanos", red cherry, blueberry etc. -- will be fine. When the rams spawn they will be able to keep small shrimps from their eggs and fry.

thanks David. I was worried about the shrimp being eaten as well. I will get two or three for now and see what happens
