 I once had a tiny ghost shrimp that went missing so I bought two new ones. But I found one of my ghost shrimp laying down next to the new one that was ALIVE and the dead shrimp was pink and white. It was either my newly bought ghost shrimp that died or my old tiny ghost shrimp that died.

| I had a bunch in my tank before and noticed they would go missing for a couple of days and then reappear. Is it possible your fish ate them?

I had a couple ghost shrimp and noticed that once they died (it was all pink and white) I saw my betta down there devouring it. so it might be that your last little shrimp died and your fish have eaten it sometime when you weren't there to see or notice (like maybe during the night or something).
Or it could be that the little shrimp is just hiding. mine would hide behind the big rock cave decoration I have and I wouldn't be able to find them for a while until I saw them come from out behind it.

I have the same problem with my orange bee shrimp. It hides behind my filter and hardly comes out. It is also possible your ghost shrimp jumped or crawled out of your tank. I lost one that way!

My Ghost shrimp usually don't live an increadibly long time and will gradually just go missing. I think that they die and the fish eat them.
My Tanks: 15 gallon: 1 female red wag platy, 1 female sunburst play, 3 black skirted tetras, 1 plecosomas, 2 unknown snails 3 gallon: 1 male crowntail betta 1 gallon: 1 female crowntail betta Pond: 1 Map turtle, asorted minnows Other pets....3 rabbits, 2 red ear sliders, chickens, ducks, horse, Fainting goat + male baby fainting goat, 1 kitten

| Ghost shrimp are tough because unfortunately they are food for many fish. I would suggest getting more than just one or two. I buy 20 to 30 at a time that way I know I have a good mix of males and females. Some will go missing or get eaten but if the population is large enough they should start to reproduce which is a completely different article. The females carry the eggs underneath their "tail" and they are actually very visible. They just look like little green balls. The good thing about ghost shrimp is that they do a good job of cleaning and they are very cheap to buy. They make a nice addition to any tank and just keep up with it. You'll get it eventually

Thanks for the advice. Well, I am done with ghost shrimps. POINTLESS THAT I KEEP LOSING THEM.
