Just wanting some information on trumpet snails. Do they have to have a sand or can they live in gravel? If I ever had a sand tank I would definetly get trumpet snails considering the fact they mainly stay in the gravel.

Gravel, sand, pebbles...they're not picky. They are very easy to please, and will thrive in basically any conditions fish will, except very soft, acidic water. Just be careful not to overfeed if you get some...their population can very quickly grow to epidemic proportions.
