| I currently have Red Sea Turbo CO2 Bio system. But with my KH at 6 and a PH of 8 according to my CO2 calculation table, my CO2 value is 1,8 and not in the recommended range. I am wondering if adding Seachem Acid Buffer would be a good idea as this would lower PH and increase CO2?

Lowering the pH does not increase your CO2...it just gives you a false reading. As I understand it, the CO2 pH relationship goes one way (CO2 lowers the pH, but lowering the pH does not increase CO2). Here's something to read that might help you. http://www.thekrib.com/Plants/CO2/ And what size is your tank? Those little yeast based systems like yours are only adequate for very small tanks (they work somewhat with tanks under 30g, but for optimum efficiency, under 20g).

According to Seachem , " as Acid Buffer lowers pH it converts carbonate akalinity(KH) into CO2. But I will check out the link you gave me. Thanks for the info! Oh and my tank is a 29 gallon!

That CO2 unit is probably underpowered for your tank then, unless you DIY a better diffusion method (to actually get the CO2 mixed actively into the water, rather than passively). You can do that with a powerhead and some really basic items. Here's some more reading for you, which includes some DIY CO2 diffuser instructions. http://www.qsl.net/w2wdx/aquaria/diyco2.html

| My Red Sea CO2 system has a diffuser pump with CO2 venturi injector but I guess I need another or spend the big bucks (LOL) and get a pressurized system!

Do they have a pump now? They used to have this funky spiral thing that passively diffused the CO2. It seems they have improved since then, but I'm not sure how well they work now, having not tried one like yours.

I believe I will try one of the DIY CO2 diffuser methods that you gave me the link to or maybe just add on to the one I already have. Thanks so much for your kind support and information.

That pump in the red sea kit never really worked well for me. I used one for several weeks and it always stopped working. It finally died on me last week. I probably have a defective unit though... When it was working I found that it diffused the co2 well in my ten gallon.
