| So I found out my Betta Blueberry was harassing my poor cories. It was just an ego thing for dominance, but my corie's fins had tears in them. I didn't notice it because he didn't do it until recently like 3-4 weeks. Anyway I put him in my 2.5 gallon with a sponge filter and he looks happy. A pic of Blueberrys new tank I just finished painting it and setting it up. He matches his coral lol. He's black purple bodied then pink and then turquoise and blue, he's really unique. I named him Blueberry because he has a lot of berry colors.

Looks nice. Is that real dried coral or resin though? If it is real, you ought to pull it out as it will harden your water and raise the pH substantially in such a small tank. It could go above 8.0 relatively quickly.

It's a bit odd for a betta to bother a cory, since they're not similar, but I guess it's possible. I've kept them in the same tank for over a year and had no problems. There were some black-skirt tetras in the tank he would flare at from time to time.

Thank you guys Also it was during feeding time, but even saw him do it at other times. Where he'd be at his upper right hand corner and he would give chase to them for a minute or two and then retreat. I think it entertained him Because they never entered his territory, anyway hes in solitary confinement now lol but he does look happy

Sounds like your betta and mine are brothers: dark blue males harassing cories. I'll be following your example and finding a new home for mine. What was the tank he was orginally in, the 10 gallon? And he seems to be doing fine in the smaller tank by himself? That is one of the concerns that is holding me up; my betta is currently in a 20 gallon, and the only reserve tank I have is a 10 gallon, and I worry about him adjusting to the smaller space. I've had several people, both on this board and at my LFS say I could move him into my 95 gallon, but there's no guarantee he would just pick out a corner of that tank and stay there. He might want all of that one too! Whoever invents a device that lets us communicate and reason with animals is going to be very wealthy.
