| David, On Thursday I did my first dose of QuickCure. Fully dosed Thursday, Friday, Saturday--water change & full dose, today-full dose. Some of the ich spots on the corydoras have not "hatched" yet. I think I see beginning of spots on my loxo cory. Am I still safe with QuickCure? When do I need to think about the quinine? My fish are all terribly stressed and I'm afraid I might lose the whole tank.

If the tank has not responded to Quick-Cure by four days, I would definitely go to quinine. BTW -- I hope you have removed any carbon from the filter??

Absolutely removed carbon. Where can I get this quinine. I'm having a problem locating it on line and the lfs certainly don't have it. How long does it take for ich to cycle on the fish and then release?

Try a veterinarian, if they don't stock it they maybe able to write a prescription for it. Not a cheap route but an option if its not available at a local store.

| Quinine sulfate can be bought at most drug stores as a leg champ medication. Rick

Dang, I just spent a fortune on it over the internet. I'll get some from the drug store, what's the right dose?

Some of the ich spots on the corydoras have not "hatched" yet. They still haven't hatched yet. Am I treating for the right illness? What is going on?

| What do you mean by "they still haven't hatched yet"? I don't like to mention manufacturers here, but National Fish Pharmaceuticals is the only place I know to get quinine http://www.fishyfarmacy.com/products4.html Besides, Brian Aukes who owns and runs the place knows more about fish diseases than anyone I know, and he is a great guy to talk with.
