My good friend Arie DeZwart, who owns and runs Ruinemans Aquarium in Miami, handles the most cardinals of anyone I know. Arie says that everyone in the fish houses knows that whenever they walk by the cardinal tanks they drop in a tiny bit of food. I do the same with the cardinals in my wholesale fish room. They will grow very quickly.

RE: juvie cardinals

Good...I hope all continues to go well.

RE: juvie cardinals

Thanks Hailey, both filters have a lot of bio media thats been seeded a long time and Im doing 50% wc every other day , for the first week, water params are fine at the moment 0 amonia 0 nitrite .

RE: juvie cardinals

They'll color up in time (as they adjust to their new surroundings, and as they mature). You added all 50 at once though? I know you didn't fishless cycle in this amount of time, and I'm concerned that you are going to end up with a lot of ammonia and nitrite (even though you moved over the other filters). Keep a really close eye on it (test the water every day for at least an week and make sure you keep the ammonia and nitrite under .5ppm since cardinals are sensitive).

juvie cardinals

Hi guys,I just got myself a nice school of cardinals(50) about a half inch in size.they all seem very healthy, but faint in color,I know they are small but will they color up as they get bigger?.Thanks in advance.
