I think that a betta and some cories would be a good setup. They usually dont bother each other, and neither puts too much stress on the filter. Also, dif. species of cories will school together, but just make sure to have at least 3 of each species. I have a school of 6 bronze and 3 peppered cories, and they always sit together under the plants until feeding time.

for some reason the fisheet didnt work on my computer , how does 4-6 cories and a single betta sound to you guys, and will differnt cories scholl with each other?

Just a thought, but you might try running some scenarios through TheFishsheet to get some ideas and then, after narrowing the list down to a few that you like, come and run them buy us. The reason why I'm saying this is that people tend to be happier when they make their own stocking decisions. Therefore, if you play around with TheFishsheet and come up with something that works, you'll probably be happier with it than one of our suggestions.

However, it would still be a good idea to come back and run the final decision by some of the experts as TheFishsheet is simply a program that makes an educated guess--it isn't perfect yet.

By the way, TheFishsheet can be found by going to the pinned topics, scrolling down to "Freshwater Stocking Guide: A Reference for Beginners," and going to the attachments on the first post of that thread.

Four ADFs is too much bioload for a 10g tank...they are heavy waste producers and should be stocked more like 5g per frog. I would drop that to one ADF if you want fish too, and then the rest of the plan sounds good, assuming you can find an actual pair of dwarf gouramis (usually stores only sell males because females are not very pretty...they're just silver). Personally I'd put in six of a small schooling fish like neons or glowlight tetras instead of a dwarf pleco though, but if you're set on the pleco, go with a clown pleco which is one of the smallest.

Im starting my first tank i have some but little expirience from when i was younger(helping my dad) so far for my ten gallon i have decided on

-1 pair of dwarf gourami

-4 african dwarf frogs

any rcomendations to topp off the tank I was thinking about a dwarf pleco
