I think he was the one that spoke to at the counter though I am not sure. My cousin bought some platies and a betta. I commented how much I liked the store.

RE: Traveling to the United States

Glad you had a good trip here, and especially that you enjoyed Rumford. Maurino Viveiros, who is assistant manager of the store and manager of the fishroom, is a serious fishhead, and his fishroom is great. I see him every week, and I will pass on your comments to him.

RE: Traveling to the United States

Thanks Hailey.

RE: Traveling to the United States

I'm glad you had a good time.

RE: Traveling to the United States

I just got back from my trip a few day's ago. I was only able to visit one of the stores mentioned above. Rumford Pet and Aquarium out in East Providence. Great store. Thanks for recommending it David.

I also visited another LFS over the bridge out in Fall river MA. Both places have fantastic tanks with many of them planted with live plants. Something that I rarely see here. Rumford had a stunning Discus tank that was fully planted and looked fantastic. Most of all the staff were really nice and seemed really knowledgable. Any Fish store that can keep a planted Discus tank up and running long term must have staff that knows what there are doing IMO.

I also loved the town of Providence. A lot to do and see. A small town with a big city feel to it. I will definitely go back. I don't travel to the US much but I am certainly going to make an effort to do so going forward.

RE: Traveling to the United States

That's awsome your're visiting USA! I will definitely have to pay a visit to that one.

RE: Traveling to the United States

Rhode Island as quite a few excellent stores -- I know because I wholesale fish to many of them. Some really good ones are:

Rumford Pet and Aquarium -- East Providence

Critter Hut (2 stores) -- Narragansett and North Kingstown

Creatures Creatures Creatures -- Slatersville

If you want to see marines, there is a great all-marine store in Seekonk, Ma -- right over the RI border -- called Coral Reef

Traveling to the United States

I am going to travel to the U.S in a few weeks.
