You really want your nitrates less than 5 for keeping any invert.

Keep your salinity at 1.025 (35ppt), and as stable as possible, which is a big part in having an anemone thrive. The other thing, is that when you are going to place a BTA under PC lighting it really cannot be bleached. PC lighting is the bare minimum for lighting and you would be much better off with a 150W MH clap-on.

I agree, your nitrates are way to high for the anemone and any other reef invert. With the number of fish you have in that tank it is going to be extremely difficult to keep them low. IMO you have way too many fish in a tank that size. For a 24gal tank I would keep nothing more than the Ocellaris clowns and maybe a shrimp. Unless you get rid of some of those fish you are going to continue to fight high nitrates and it will never really be suitable for an anemone.

To start with your nitrate is to high for most reef inverts. Second you should be very selective when purchasing inverts. They are very dificult to nurse back to health and bleaching is a bad sign. Typicaly when an invert is bleaching it is because of shipping/handling stress, poor water, low light or a combination off the afore mentioned. Others will let you know if you have enough light.

32 watt Dual Actinic 420/460nm

I use bio filter and thinking about getting a PS.

I bought the anemone on saterday and it was bleached. I am feeding mysis shrimp.

Hello and welcome to FC!!!

I would sugest you repost this in the saltwater general or help forum located down the page a bit.

A few other things you will want to include is some setup specs IE lighting filtration and water paramaters to speed up answers. How long have you had your anenomie, did it bleach recently, and what are you trying to feed it?

This is predominantly a fresh water forum but many knowlegable salties are around here to so be patient and you should get some great feed back.

Anenomies are pretty tuff to keep and light has a huge role on there husbandry.

I am a teen who loves sw fish. I have a 24 g aquapod with a a bleached bulb tip anemone, flame hawk, dottyback, cleaner shrimp, two false clowns and a pink skunk clown. I need some help with my anemone I gave it food it 3 days ago and it eat but now it did not eat when I gave it food last night and the night before, will it eat when its hungry? Thanks
