I am planning to put them in a tank by themselves and let them breed. What would be the best food to feed them? I know that they like plants/algae, but is there any specific kind of food that makes them more likely to breed?

Red Cherry Shrimp

What fish are these shrimp compatible with? Just to help clean up left over food and stir up the gravel. I don't want anything too big or anything that requires special food or conditions. I also plan on breeding the two german rams in the ten gallon so what ever I get can't be a threat to eggs or fry. So heres my Idea of a setup for her that I think allows me to finally get to keep shrimp.
First I will use a 20 gal. long tank and divide it into three sections. This will allow her to have three bettas and then I can plant the tank and put shrimp in among the bettas. This way I just need one filter system for the setup.

Or would I be better off with multiple tanks for the bettas and shrimp. I have limited room and between my back problems and my heart condition lifting is out of the question. But I must say fish keeping is giving me the therapy of owning a pets and indoor gardening.
Thank you all for you input.

Pinned Topics

Welcome to the FishChannel Forums!
