Jellyfish??

Yesterday I ran into a website selling jellyfish.
Just curious are there anyone keeping them?
I am thinking of keeping two or three of them with fancy led lightings in a 5 gallon tank

The jellyfish I saw yesterday were $39.00 each. Are there cheaper ones??

While I am knew to the hobby, I have learned to research fish before buying. I had done my research on zebra danios and planned on purchasing some for 8 weeks while my tank cycled. At the store my daughter and wife fell in love with the glo fish. I purchased my zebra danios and purchased a few glo fish for them. This will be the last time I buy impulsivley. The glo fish dont look anything like they did in the store. Special lighting maybe ? Plus I found out they are genetically modified =/ Please think and research before you buy. I know I will from now on.

I need to breed my CPDs because I only have 4 and would like to have at least 12. Has anyone breed these fish before and have some advice? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The Newest Purple Passions

I just got the new purple passion danio. The pair i bought(cuz thats all i could afford) is most likely a male female pair. The females are larger and not a brightly colored. The males are a very impresive neon purple color(even better with LEDs). The body shape reminds me of an arowana built for faster streams. They are relatively peaceful with fish that can fend off other fish. They started chasing my puffers very soon after they were added to the tank(i didnt bother quarentining because the store does that for several weeks before selling them.) the puffers soon learned that they are big sissys and will stop if u start to chase them back. Even the honey gold grourmi is fending them off. They would do perfect in a 30 gallon tank with a half dozen of them. My pair constantly chase each other.

How do i get my zebra danios to spawn. They have been conditioned on bloodworms and brine shrimp for about 5 weeks. Do i have to change the water temp?

I am a new fish owner, and got a Red Dwarf Gourami today as well as 3 Zebra Danios. They seem to be getting along perfectly, the Gourami is leaving the Danios alone and vice versa. I would like to get 2 more Danios since they are schooling fish, and also another kind of fish. What is another kind of fish that will get along with both the Gourami and the Danios? Thanks

Help...Danio problems

I have 3 Zebra Danios I bought today. I know they prefer to be in a school of at least 6, and I am planning on buying more. I just started with 3 so my tank could cycle properly first. Anyway, I think I have one female and two males, and one of the males chases the smaller male continuously. I am worried :/ I'm hoping adding more will help the problem, but what can I do until then?

I keep danios. Anyone else? I find that they enjoy a rapid current. They are very fast and thrive in a long aquarium. I keep zebras and gold danios. I find that the two colors do not schoal/school much and that the golds are often larger than the zebras. Anyone else have any observations?

Right now, I'm stuck in my decesion between endler's livebearers or some neat longfin blue zebra danios that my lfs can order. I know these fish are VERY hardy, but I'm confused about the water hardness. Some say that it can be 5-10 DKH, but others say it should be 8-10 DKH. Which is right?

Also, iws there any way of converting hardness in ppm to DKH/DH?

I am in the process of breeding Zebra Danios and i was wondering if there is a certain temperature that the eggs should be kept at. If the water gets too cold, will they parish?

I was wondering if 5 Giant Danio's would be ok in my aunt's pond... She currently has a couple Koi and some Goldfish in there right now. It's quite big...
