Under the Registration menu, you choose your name that everyone will see in the forum, for some odd reason ever since I have been a member it has me down as Sir. I would like to change this but it doesnt allow me to, any suggestions on how to do this? Thanks

The member "IAMAFISHINWATER" keeps posting a link to a site trying to tell people to buy the product it sells. If you go to the member's profiile and look at all their posts, they almost all include that site. Just a heads up, thought you should know.

I was trying to type in "t h o r n y - stemmed rose" and it keeps posting "t***-stemmed rose". Is there a way to keep it from doing this, or will I just have to put a space between each letter?

Hello, first off I would like this to be forwarded to the reptilechannel forums mods. I just put it here because I obviously cannot post anything in those forums.

After I created an account, I tried making a new topic but it said "error" and that I was not permitted to do this and it directed me back to the login page. Thinking I just made some mistake in the account-making process I tried making another one to see if this would fix it. I do not have the same exact problem again but not when I try to create a new topic it simply directs me back to the forums home.

I am having trouble adding extra photos to my Fish tank / setup. I go in to edit the setup and click the link for "Click here to edit or add more photos of your tank." I can browse and upload the photos, but there is no save. How do you get them to show up with the main picture on the profile?

Hi, I logged onto FC yesterday but had trouble blogging and quizzes. I know I am not the only one as a blogger told me it took her forever to get her blog posted. Doing quizzes brings up a strange box when you click next with x+y something. Also there is a strange "question" link within the quizzes that has been there awhile. In addition, I successfully uploaded a video over a week ago and it never showed up so I uploaded again yesterday.

Today, I cannot login at all. I know it is the proper password....

I tried to take the quiz today and was confused by some of the answers.

For instance, the question about HLLE - I answered that it was Head and Lateral Line Erosion. I was told it was incorrect and that HLLE stood for Head and Lateral Line Erosion.

The same with the next question - I answered that pelagic plankton are found in the upper layers of the water column and was told that it was incorrect - pelagic plankton are found in the upper layers of the water column.

I dunno if that's a problem with the quiz itself or what, but I thought I should let someone know.

I can't seem to figure out how to post a 'viewable' photo on the site. The last photo posted was of a Caribbean Lobster and it took up the entire page plus more. Any ideas? One suggestion was to first upload it to another site but I don't do social networking so any other ideas?

AFI Subscription issue

I redeemed activity points on this sight for a one-year subscription to AFI and to date, I have not received a single copy. I do not remember the exact date I ordered it, but it has been about three months now. I had a paid subscription before that, and was hoping the new subscription would overlap perfectly so I didn't miss an issue, so I am going through AFI withdrawal. I have redeemed points from my current address for Aquarium USA and I got that within a week or two so I am confident the address was correct.

this has happened before and clearing the cache/cookies/history seemed to work but this time it isnt doing anything. i have cleared everything about four or five times with no effect. anybody know how to fix this? if not, i may just have to switch to chrome or firefox

I have a question: I mainly use fire fox as my web browser but when I try to post pictures with FireFox it won't let me so I log off and reopen in explorer then I can post pics. Why is that?

I have been visiting this forum less and less, which is actually quite unfortunate... but the reason?

It's because whenever I try to navigate this forum, with ANY action I take, I have to [OK] a little box (it pops up, with an annoying tone).

The box says:

Out of memory at line: 2

[OK]

It doesn't give any instructions... only that, and the option to click [OK] on it.

What's going on? I WILL have to click it another three times just to post this message.

I had just posted a topi named "10 gallon with one betta. What else?". I realized you (a moderator) had moved it into the bettas section in the freshwater species forum. That topic doesn't really have much to do with bettas at all, but what other stocking options there are. If you could move it back to the general freshwater section, that would be great.

Ok, a long time ago, before I registered with the name of A.M anabantoids, I made an account with the name of A.M wildlife. For some reason, it wouldn't allow me to post within topics, so I made the one I currently use. When I made this account, I entered our family's main email address rather than my own, becasue I already entered my own in my old account and it wouldn't let me use my email address on this account. Now, whenever someone send me a p.m, I never get it because I don't really use our family's main email address. Is it possible if you could change the email address I already entered with this account to my own email address so that I actually get messages and monthly news letters that people send to me? Would you like me to send you (the first moderator who replies) a p.m giving both email addresses if it is possible to switch them?

Issues with Fonts/Font Sizes Using a Mac

Since I have switched from using a PC to a Mac, I am unable to change fonts or sizes in my posts. When I post something that I've changed the size or font of, it appears in the topic with the codes still wrapped around it. In addition, when I go to the Control Panel to edit my signature, the edit box contains a mess of code and gobbledegook, which makes it torturous to change anything without leaving snippets of code in my signature. Lastly, everything that I type in posts is left aligned, which is a pain when I post ASCII, as it piles up on the left side of the page. I know that "Forum functionality is most compatible with Internet Explorer 5+," but is there any way that I can fiddle with fonts again?

PS: I'm not sure if I'm simply not doing it right, but I don't think that the IFCode shortcuts work either. How do you use them?

I just have a quick question and am having trouble using the contact form and I dont see just an email address, so I figured I'd ask here.

I am in Canada (British Columbia) and I was wondering if there is a list or a way to find out which stores in a certain area carry the 2 magazines (FAMA and AFI).

I subscribe at the moment, but they run out with the Nov. and Dec. issues and at the moment can't renew (financial issues not quality of magazine issues.) but the only store I knew who carried it (Petcetera) is going out of business and I dont want to go on a scavenger hunt if I dont have to.

So yeah just wondering if there is a way to find out what stores carry them? (Vancouver, BC area)

Problem logging in

I have asked and asked here and in the contact us section. Look at the photo and tell me where to log in. and this problem is site wide. If I did not have a form filler, I don't know how I would log in.

Check the attached file, the banner is covering the login.

FYI, using windows XP, SP 3, 1680 x 1050 pixels, screen resolution, have tried different resolutions and same thing.

Trouble with webpage

Having trouble with the "recent posts" ..............Im missing post because the "recent posts" function hasnt been working properly for me for a few weeks now. Sometimes when I click on recent post since my last visit and post added today it comes up the same until I click it again and then its like it refreshes? Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem? Found alot of buried threads that I had missed mostly on the photographer but some were even on the general forum...........Also Ive tried to contact someone about my fish channel page I cant change my pic it tells me how and then when I do it and save it it stays the same. I have sent a few emails and havent gotten any responses and today I tried to email again and its saying that Im lost at sea and the page doesnt exist anymore????

I have 2 issues first when I use Foxfire browser and try to upload a pic for the forum it wont work is there a certain setting it needs to be on? And second is there a pic resizer or something that needs to be downloaded because its such a pain trying to resize your photos with the little box and arrow thingy......I know I must be doing something wrong it cant be this difficult.....thx Jas

Weird Problem

So I've been on FishChannel quite some time and during this time, a computer of mine that uses Internet Explorer 7 got a "problem" that whenever I clicked into Forums or any link to anything inside here, it said: Out of Memory at Line: 2 or Stack Overflow at Line: 2. I had to click "OK" each time it popped up and pops up around 3 times for each link I click.

I thought that was really odd because it never happened before so I switched to another computer that uses Internet Explorer 6... but then after around 3 months, the same problem happened again. It keeps on persisting and really slows down the time it takes to go from here to there.

Now I want to know what's going on because it's just way too inconvenient and I don't want it happening to the 3rd and final computer, the laptop. The laptop also uses Internet Explorer 6.

Can anyone fix this?
