We've received a few reports of several people using the private messaging system to recruit members to another forum. This is strictly prohibited and those caught doing this may be BANNED.

Because of privacy laws, messages sent through the private messaging system cannot be tracked. To help crack down on those abusing the message board, we're asking that if you receive a private message that solicits another message board or website, please report this to us.

You can use the report button located on each post to alert the moderators, or go to the FishChannel Moderator's profile and send a PM or e-mail. We want everyone to have an enjoyable experience here and those abusing the forum only hinder on your positive experience.

Thanks for your support,

F.M.

Hi all,

We've had a problem with this recently, and we'd like to remind the forum users that soliciting people to go to another site is not only against our rules, but also (for lack of a better term and no pun intended) fishy.

We also at this time would like to encourage members who receive these to forward them via PM to FishChannel Moderator. We rely on all of you to find out about this, as we do not check anyone's PM.

Thanks,

F.M.

Maybe to motivate people to report these abuses you could reward them a small number of eclub points! (just a sincere suggestion, only )

We do give out points occasionally when we deem it a good idea. Wouldn't want people to start creating accounts and sending fake solicitations to themselves and reporting it to get points though.
