That is a common LPS coral that is often found as a hitchhiker on Caribbean live rock. I have forgotten the name and I can't look it up because it is on Ron Shimek's web site, which is down right now.

Ummm excuse my newbieness but what is LPS coral?  I hear LPS and all I can think of is my daughter's Littlest Pet Shops toys.

LPS=large polyp stony corals
If you want this to live and grow, feed it with a little piece of shrimp or fish every week or so. They generally will reproduce if fed too.
