| I came back from a work trip, (had a familly member looking after critters) and all 8 of my African Dwarf Frogs were dead! They were in a nice , well filtered 5 gallon tank and I had them for 4 years like that! I'm soo sad, the males used to do their little buzzing noise at night. The only thing I can think of is it's the only tank I have that doesn't have a surge arrest bar on it. Maybe a power surge toasted them?! Sob... Sob...

 Soo sorry to hear that, that's rough! Especially since all of them passed and you've had them for 4 years! I only lost one and had him only a month or so, and when i had to pull him out it was horrible. They are so tiny and harmless it's sad to see them go. But on the bright side it sounds like you gave them 4 wonderful years of life

I'm so sorry for your loss.
I doubt a power surge did it though...you'd probably have obviously fried equipment. More likely the person taking care of them overfed them, didn't do water changes, fed the wrong foods, or in some way messed up. Having others take care of aquatic animals can be very risky unless they have them too and know what they are doing. You could test the ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate to see if something is off there...it may at least give you an idea what happened.
