Kind of a random question, but I have 5 baby starlight bristlenose plecos (at least I think they're starlights). One is about 2.5 inches and the other 4 are about 1.5 inches long. How long before they start to grow their bristles? I want to sex them but it's hard before those grow in :/

20 gallon long
5 peppered cory cats
1 striata loach
7 black phantom tetras
2 bristlenose plecos
1 amazon sword
6 little swordtails
java fern, moss ball, giant anubias, and dwarf anubias

2.5 gallon
babysitting a goldfish temporarily

5 gallon
1 baby leucistic axolotl (Hooper) and 1 baby melanoid axolotl (Quint)

55 gallon to be set up in August for the axolotls

Just added a rubbernose plec to my school's setup.. now ive kept a sailfin, bristlenose, whiptail, otos, clown, and rubbernose. ill update behavioral info as i take time to watch this little guy.

actually got him because i thought hed be able to put up with the jewel cichlid in the tank and be territorial, but that myth got debunked pretty fast.. had to do an emergency fish move and ended up with the jewel cichlid in another separate tank, and the plec, some swordtails, and some glofish (ugh) all in the same tank.

Yeah.... senior year of highschool tends to get in the way of a lot of things, though..
