Hi! I am upgrading to a 75 this week and went to my lfs first. They have the stands that the tank rests on the top, not a solid top, more the edge around the tank. My tank will be sitting away from the wall about 4 inches. How bump safe are these stands? It will be in an area of my living room where we walk past to get to the front door and I need to make sure if someone happened to bump it, it will not move.

I've used those types of stands before, and provided it rests even on the floor, it should be fine.
I never noticed any difference in stability between that type of stand and others.
