| Hello All, I need your help. I need to know three things from anyone willing to participate: - Type of plants you keep.
- Whether they are bunch plants (grow vertically on long stems) or full plants (spread in all directions, not just grow taller).
- How long each species takes to double in size (starting at 4-6" and going to 8-12").
Don't be afraid to post your plants even if someone else has the same sort of plants as you. After all, the more data points available, the more reliable the average. MOA

Don't be afraid to post your plants even if someone else has the same sort of plants as you. After all, the more data points available, the more reliable the average. MOA I keep java moss, hornwort, tiger lotus, crypts, swords, milfoil, anacharis, and cabomba. Anacharis are bunch plants, and take about a few days to a week to double in size. Cabomba are bunch plants, and they took the same rate as my Anacharis to double. Cabomba flowers. Swords are full plants, and they took a few days to two weeks to double, depending on the species. They also flower. Tiger Lotus are both bunch and full plants, one of mine went from a bulb to a about 8-12 inches each leaf in two weeks to a month. The other one has been staying less than an inch tall for three months and is full. They may flower. Hornwort is a full plant, and took about a week to double. The other plants have not reached this size yet, so I have no idea what to post about them.

My fastest growing plant is this strain of water sprite I have that will double in a week or two. Floating it just covers the water surface, and planted it grow up to the surface quickly. I also grow duckweed in my outdoor ponds, and feed it to my koi in the indoor pond and the Uarus that are breeding for me. Other plants I have that grow really well are narrow leafed Java fern, which grows two or three times as fast as the normal or the Windelov varieties. Red ludwigia and crypt balansae would be my next best growers, but I don't have a good feel for how fast they actually grow. Hope this is what you were looking for.

| Rotalla indica grows almost as fast a weed. With high light, Co2, and fertilization I would estimate that it can grow as much as an inch every other day. It spreads by lateral shoots and cuttings. Ludwigia Repens is a slower plant that maybe grows (under the same conditions) around an inch a week. It too grows laterally and from cuttings. I would consider both bunch plants.

| Broad-leaved Amazon Sword -- Full plant -- Daughters doubled every 3-4 weeks till full-sized, adult plants replace trimmed leaves in about 2-3 days Anacharis -- Stem plant -- doubling length in about a week Hornwort -- Stem plant -- doubling in about 2 weeks Banana plant -- kinda both stem and full since leaves are on stems but the stems have stayed short and grow out sideways, not straight up -- new leaves about every 3 weeks Water Sprite -- Stem plant -- seems to double overnite sometimes! seriously, grows new stems all the way to the surface in about a week so I cut them back about that often
