I just bought The Conscientious Marine Aquarist and it is an EXCELLENT book! It is easy to ready and thoroughly informative. I am very very new at this hobby - both saltwater and fresh. I have gotten all the Dummy and Idiot books and a few Easy to learn DVDs. Anybody have any other suggestions on what good books there are or DVDs to learn about this hobby and how to keep our swimming buddies happy?

Mike Paletta has some great books out, like The New Marine Aquarium. I have his Ultimate Marine Aquariums and it is a great read, but probably not as helpful to you at this point since you're just starting out. I also find the Wetwebmedia site extremely informative and interesting (for saltwater, freshwater, and brackish). There is a ton of content there (and they are constantly adding more)...I don't think I'll ever actually be able to read it all, but everything I have read has helped me a lot.
