I am having trouble controlling my mushroom anemones!! They are over taking my 150 gallon reef....I have tried injecting them with Aptasia Control, manually cutting them as low on the stock as possible but they just multiply using these techniques!!!! Does anyone know of a successful way to thin these prolific creatures down without them multiplying every time one is removed?

You could try using a needle ( syringe) and injecting with lemon juice right into the stem, mouth. I have used this method with glass nems that were going crazy.

Or you could propogate them onto small LR rubble and trade them into your local LFS if they carry SW. Those would be great additions to most peoples NANO's.

Just wondering if you ever figured out a way to get those mushrooms thinned out in your tank. I do think that finding a way to propagate them onto frag rock is a good idea so you can spread them out to fellow reefers. Now I need to get my stuff growing that well so I can start doing the same! lol
