We’d like to give you a chance to share your thoughts and advice with fellow hobbyists in our annual magazine, Aquarium USA. Each week, we’ll post a couple questions you can answer—and your answer could get published in the next Aquarium USA! Question #9 is: Sometimes, family members who don’t keep aquaria may not be too thrilled about spending money on more tanks, equipment, etc. What do you think a reefkeeper can say to convince someone to spend money on reef tanks? Please reply to this post to respond. If you'd like to see all the questions posted for possible publication in Aquarium USA, all of them (freshwater and saltwater) have been posted in our Announcements forum.

After the first time something was said about cost, my reply was "you know where I am, you know who I'm with , and you know what I'm doing..." Nothing more was said and the non-fish person began to take an interest!

| You get what you pay for. Investing the proper amount of money for the breathtaking display of beautiful corals, anemone and brilliantly colored fish make it all worth it. Don't we all get a big boost hearing the "WOW!" when someone new enters the room with your reef tank?
