I voted "sort of" but like Princess said it's really a mixture between "yes" and "sort of". When my bicolour algae eater died, I was sad because I'd rescued him from my old classroom aquarium and had him for over a year. . It depends on how long I've had the fish and how attached I was to it. For example, I know that if Merlin (my horse-faced loach) died, I would be sad because he's always bouncing around with so much character and vigour. If one of my neon tetras died, I would be more disappointed that I couldn't keep them alive.

I voted sort of.
I wasn't sure how I'd react, having never had fish before. I had these guys a week and a half. It's not like losing a cat, which sent me crying for weeks, but I feel kinda sick and I'm pretty sure my day's been ruined. I liked these guys.

| I voted sort of, to me its sad to see a life end, just because I was raised to respect life and that it shouldnt be wasted, but on the other side, its not like my dog died, I guess I just dont form that much of a bond with my fish, but its always a little sad when someone's or something's life ends.

| i voted yes but it really depends on the situation so it is almost like a sort of. I say this because I do feel sad even if I have not grown attached to a fish because it reflects on my fish keeping skills and when we decide to keep a fish or any pet for that matter their lives are in our hands and we have a responsibility. I have had a fish that I came to care about on a more personal level. One of my oscars became a real part of my life and I was sad when I had to get rid of him when I moved and was no longer able to keep an aquarium large enough to house him. in fact I actually gave the oscar CPR when he was about 4" long. he got a chunk of Krill stuck in his mouth and I found him sitting on the bottom in distress. I netted him and picked him up with a wet cloth and gently pushed on his sides popping the piece of krill out of his mouth. Bri
I Never met a fish I did not like, especially wrapped in seaweed and a little soy sauce.

I'm sad when I have a fish die. It means that I failed in keeping the tank as healthy as I could have. I'm also sad when I know I had the fish for three or four years and know its life cycle has been complete.

| I voted yes. After a while you'll get attached to your fish. When you first start keeping fish, you don't really care. Then you realize how awesome fish are. But by then, it's too late.

| definitely yes. My fish all come to the front of the aquarium as soon as I get home because they know their food is coming, also most of them I have had since they were pretty small or were born in the tank itself. So yes I definitely get sad if one dies, I consider it a personal failure if it dies for any reason other than old age.

| I agree... I love my fish very much <3 but the only fish that frustrates me than me getting all heartbroken about is if any of my 23 fry guppies had died.
