| I recently got a guppy, molly, and a platy, all of which live in the same tank. The molly and the guppy are typically active but the platy is always at the top of the tank right below the water line "swimming in place". Is something wrong with the platy or is this typical? Thanks for the help!

Just for the record, all of these fish are schooling fish and should be kept in groups of 5 or more.
I agree with finding john, I have several healthy platys that hang out at the top of the tank. I believe it is normal.
