| What would be the best plants, size, area, and other fish for a new koi pond?

| Where do you live? After that it's all about depth. Also how much space do you have? Koi ponds need to be BIG, plus you might need some large filtration for them. Plants would need to be protected in some way otherwise it's salad for the koi. Etc. Sorry I can't help more but I don't now too much else.

If the pond doesn't freeze all the way through, they should make it. As said, that's mostly about depth and how cold your winter temperatures are.
