I bury my fish/children! It seems most respectful (besides cremation and pet cemetarys for big fish), and flushing can release pathogens to the environment.

10 gallon saltwater
2 blue-legged hermit crabs
1 snail

2.5 gallon
2 khuli loach
1 albino longfin zebra danio

Love those bottom feeders!

I think burring the fish is better than throwing it into the trash or some place else.  It was a living thing.  Alot of fish become part of your family.

I am apparently an emotionally shallow person. My fish are too big to flush so I wrap them up in a fashion to eliminate smell/bugs and toss them...

Why do I feel like less of a man...

I only bury the very special ones. Tropicals generally get put in a bag and put into the trash. Flushing is a very bad idea - if for no other reason than that your local wastewater treatment guys will hate you forever. Those systems aren't meant for fish bones.

55 gallon
Baby - lionhead/ryukin cross
Westie - lionhead/ryukin cross
Speedy Rodriguez - oranda
Currently searching for a good new tankmate!

planted 29 gallon
3 red eye tetras
4 cherry barbs
2 cardinal tetras
4 albino cories
2 Bolivian rams

When my daughter was younger, we had burials with grave side services. Now that she's an adult, I can wrap them up, place in a ziploc bag and put it in the trash.

Let's swim with the fishes!
