| Black skirt tetras are fin nippers, they might not go great with your rainbows. Congo tetras are kinda big, they might eat neons but they also might tussle with the rainbows. I'd try and keep dainty tetras with the rainbows. The rainbows won't actually hurt the tetras they are just oing to spook them. Schools will prevent this.

| I recently added to my neon school and noticed the new neons are more of a royal blue where my original group is more peacock blue. is the colour variation genetic or is it diet? What brings out colour in neon?. any advice neons4ever. Ihave chosen diamond tetras to go with neons, rainbows and halequin rasporas Thanks

I don't know about the color variations. But, neons begin to shine when there awake. At night, they go to sleep and turn their colors off. In the morning it takes a little while to have them regain their color back. Neons should have the same blue, all of mine do.

| It might be stress. Let them settle in. Have you quarantined them? I would watch them for a while to make sure it doesn't get worse or progress into something serious. The only thing that could affect all of them is stress or disease. Feeding doesn't usually affect blue colors noticably. Feeding generally affects red and similar colors. Keep us up to date.
