I have a 10 gallon micro reef and was wondering what is the best lighting. I know the standard answer is metal halide with actinics. But I was also looking a 4 bulb 96w power compact setup. Or those stunner led strips. If corals will grow with the stunner led strips I will be leaning that way.

Well never mind on this one. I am getting the coralife setup that has the 4 T5HO bulbs and LED moonlights. It gets great reviews and produces what I am looking for. Affordable reliable reef lighting with the very cool LED moonlights. It was between that and the Ecoxotic Stunner strips. But I never heard from anyone who used those on coral for any amount of time. If I had I would have tried them. But alas I am a beginner and am in over my head anyway by now.

Coralife doesn't make great lights IMO. Usually they trick you into thinking they're HO but they're normally normal output. Stunner LED strips work great too, kind of expensive though.

4 gallon Finnex pico aquarium- Iwagumi tank with orange eye black tiger shrimp.

10 gallon-  Planted Asian biotope with CPD's, sparkling gouramis, and a breeding pair of Betta albimarginata.
