I bought some birds nest coral, and its turning brown??? I have LED lighting, and everything else is doing well. I feed my corals, I've moved it a few times, but it started turning brown on the tips, and is continuing down the coral.. does anybody know why this could be happening?

This topic would do better if it was posted in the Reefkeepers Section of the Saltwater Forums.

If you just Bought it, it may be stressed out due to moving and reclimatizing to your tank. I would give it a few weeks and see if it doesn't comeback.

You probably don't have enough light. SPS corals tend to turn brown when the lighting isn't sufficient.

Did you buy it from a fish store or an individual?

In my research for my own salt tank I found that most of the LED lighting systems are not reef capable. You might want to check the manufacturers website to find this out. Also take into account the depth of the tank and where it sits in the tank.

I will not buy fish this time, I will not buy fish this time, I willnt buy fish this time, I willt buy fish this time, I WILL BUY FISH THIS TIME.
