I am new to this so hopefully I can get some helpful information from this place.
I have a 40 gallon tank with White Aqua Terra Sand .1mm - .5mm in size.
I was wondering besides pleco's what other fishes are compatible with sand?
Thanks

Just about any fish would do good with sand. Cichlids love sand. They move the stuff around alot and the tank is always changing.

Gourami's, platys, tetras, chiclids, etc. Almost (seems like all) tropical fish are compatible with sand.

Awesome!
I'm glad to hear sand isn't an issue. This makes me more excited on choosing fishes.
I can't wait to get things started.
Thanks for all your help!

Could you post some pics of your setup for everyone to see? That would be cool!

corydoras and loaches both like sand and tend to root around in it (dont get clown loaches or red tail botias... they get too big for your tank). banjo cats also mess around and bury themselves in sand. and then obviously plecos but you said "besides plecos"... eartheater cichlids also love sand and benefit from it.

| I am not sure there are any fish out there that are "bad" with sand. There are many that prefer sand over gravel so I am prettty sure you are good with whatever you want to do. If you get a pleco, make sure it's one of the smaller sized ones like rubberplec, clown pleco or bristle-nose. The common pleco gets way to big for your tank. I have seen one in a 55 get longer than my forearm.
