Well No USB male to mini Male usb cables available in town, so I'll have to order one online.

So here is an update on my project as of day #14.

One of the Rosette Swords is getting a little bit of yellowing around the edge of one leaf, and 2 of the Crypto's are getting the same thing.   One of the Rosette Swords has also shot a runner skyward which has 2 bud nodes from which 2 new swords should start.

The Kleiner Bar Sword does have 1 new leaf forming, the others have mostly withered and are starting to shrivel up and decay.  The Red Cherry hedge has turned most of its leafs skyward, but a few look a little wilted.

The Glossistigma is still showing new upward growth but not expanding outward from the plants itself, and the Dwarf Hairgrass is doing the same.  Both of these are also starting to show some yellowing,on some of their leafs.

The yellowing is not everywhere just a little here and there.  I would assume this yellowing is just some normal plant death which always occurs, after transplanting, and going through its shock period, just as new leafs grow and old leafs die, at least I hope this is the case.

The Pigmy Chain Sword is like the last two, it's doing well, but have a couple of leafs which are starting to yellow and wilt.

I hope this is what should be expected at this point in time, but without having done this before, and having not grown these plants before using this method, I'm still not sure what to expect.  So for now I will say; "This is Good"!

I did take a couple more photos today, so as soon as I can guys I will get them posted.  Sorry again for the delay and I really wish the wife could remember where she put the camera box.

My mind always tells me I'm young.......yet every morning when I get out of bed.......my body proves I'm very very old!

Planted is the Only way to go. I wish I can get a carpet growing but that takes years of natural growing. Sure I've planted 100$ worth of plants in a 20 gallon only to see most die off. I don't know about dry start but my grass is coming in nicely since I move aquarium next to a window! I do check on my aquariums every time I have a cigarette. An aquarium next to a window will always be your best bet in keeping a densely planted aquarium, but keep two eyes on your aquarium because temperature will rise in direct sunlight. You got to manage sunlight intake of the tank and have big emergency ice bergs in your freezer. You will see how was your plants are gonna grow. Keep dark areas for your fish though.

Now it has been five years next to window and the tank explodes with life in summer and dies down in winter. I get my clippings in summer than I plant them in my 10 gallon tank in direct sunlight. So when ever I see octos eat too much tall grass I plant more in the 40 gallon. So try to keep a small tank for plants, so you can keep your tank dense.
This is 10 gallon clipping tank.

Hi Ross,

Sounds like a plan

Sorry to hear about your experiences with AZ Gardens. I have always heard bad stuff about them. In fact, their claim that all their products come from their own place is false, they get them shipped from halfway across the world, and then ship them out again, which is why they always come in poor conditon.

Plant list sounds nice. Sorry if I missed this, but what is your lighting, and are you dosing pressurized Co2?

Sorry Guys been busy with family issues suddenly rising.  Ok Update on the tank.  Well can't get a cable in town for the camera so I have ordered one.

DSM TANk as of day #23

The badly damaged leafs on the Kleiner Bar Sword have now shriveled up to the branch stem, and there is One new leaf from it.  So I think it just might make it.

The Rosette Swords are doing exceptionally well, with one of the plants having sent out a plant runner with three plant nodes along it.

The Pigmy chained Swords are looking slightly yellowed, but continue to show some new growth.

The Dwarf hairgrass is badly yellowed with some browning occurring.  But still hopeful so far.

The Glossistigma is doing well, there have been I would say lots of new growth, but it is not carpeting yet.  I feel most of the growth has been in roots and runners, so I'm hoping to see some change by the end of the month.

The Red cherry hedge has new growth, and all the branches and leafs are aiming skyward.  So no problem there so far.

I have not started fertilizing yet, and am still just using RO water to mist them on a bi-daily schedule.  I have toyed with the idea of setting a CO2 Yeast reactor inside the covered tank with nothing more then a piece of tubing to release the gas into the sealed area.

So I might try a 14 day mini experiment and see if there is even a slight noticeable growth change.  Anyone with any thoughts on this?  Drop in a your comments if you feel like it, as all help is appreciated.

I'll try and post more sooner, just had my hands full with other stuff guys, anyway chat at ya all soon.

Stephen thank you.  It's going as good as its going to get family wise for now.  But it reminds me totally why wild animals sometimes kill and eat their young! LOL

Ok update on my project, the cable still has not arrived, but should in the next few days.

Well, the Dwarf Hairgrass is still badly yellowed, and it almost looks as if it is trying to die off.  The Glossistigma has plenty of fingers reaching for the sky, but I don't see any outward growth yet.

There are now 3 small new leafs on the Kleiner Bar Sword, and the Rosette Swords are growing strongly, with the 3 new buds now leafed with a plant at each bud site on the runner arm.

The Crypto's are now the champion growers at present, their leafs shinning brightly, all standing erect, just doing superbly.

The Red Cherry Hedge is doing the same as well, lots of new stems just reaching towards the heavens, and very leafy.

The Pigmy Chain sword has some yellowing to it, but seems to still be root fortifying at the moment.

My mind always tells me I'm young.......yet every morning when I get out of bed.......my body proves I'm very very old!
