I have a beautiful goldfish that has dropsy. In my research I found out that it is not curable. She has got to be in pain and I can't help her. She has developed a buldge under the skin and scales on the right side and stopped eating. How do I humanely put her to sleep?

Well, it's done. In researching ways to humanely euthanize aquarium fish, in this case goldfish, clove oil seemed to be thought the most sensitive a least stressful for the fish. I have to admit it was was alot easier on me as well. She didn't fight or struggle. She slipped of to sleep in about three min. and was gone in about five. I waited an extra ten minutes before removing her just to make sure. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FORM OF EUTHANASIA FOR YOUR FISH IF THERE IS NO OTHER HOPE.

Just FYI, I got the clove oil at GNC. It's something you need to get at a whole foods or healt food type store.
