Just about to finish fishless cycle and i noticed very small white flea like creatures on the inside of the tank. Anyone experience something like this? I am using eco complete substrate with live plants. No fish yet. Just wondering if theyre parasites or fish food?

I dont think i could zoom in enough to get these little buggers. I think they may be cyclops after researching a little more. Not for sure though. The larger ones seem to have a pair of something? dragging behind.

Don't worry -- without fish in the tank they could not be parasites. There are all kinds of little critters in our tanks, most of which the fish will eat.

Thanks for the comforting info. I also noticed some small white hairlike worms, around a quarter of an inch long. I guess they should be safe also? I have other tanks and never noticed creatures like these. guess I was lucky.

Well I added my fleet of tetras to their new home thinking I have a natural food source for a while. wrong! they weren't parasites ,but the tetras rid their natural food source in a day! there were hundreds of these things. and just like that they were gone. it was fun watching the frenzy while it lasted.
