So I just got my brand new HOB filter from AquaTop with a built in UV sterilizer AND surface skimmer .... So I'm pretty excited to see how this will work ...
I do like the idea that I can run the filter the whole time and still turn the UV light on/ off any time I want...
The one thing I don't like is.... Its not an AquaClear... I just love the way AquaClear filter system is set up... The AquaTops remind me of Cheesey Whisper Filters... BUT!!!! We will see what happens....
I still am excited, this could be a good thing

built in UV... how much did the thing knock you back? lol sounds like a nice product to me.

Thats what I thought! I ran it for one day only so far... I don't see me running it much... I don't have a algae problem per-say... But every now and again Ill have more algae then what I like... Will let know how things go...

I dont get bad algae... But I do get some on the glass... And some on my plants... Which I really dont like at all.... Cleaning the glass is a lot easier than cleaning each leaf on my plants
