I went to a fish-friends house and she had a devils ivy floating in her tank with little fish, neons, white clouds, mollies... I was stunned and asked if that was safe for them to nibble on...she said yes... It was visually very attractive... My question is: Is it really safe to put that into --MY --aquarium, I have much larger fish that eat up all of my store-bought plants. Please reply only if you know for sure... I'd hate to kill my fish.. My fish will nibble on it. Thanks, fish4962

Yep, its safe. However its not a fully aquatic plant and will die in a couple months because of this, so maybe have it on some floating wood or something? let us know what you do with it.

The best way to use that is actually to put the roots in the water and let the leaves remain out of the water, somewhat like bamboo. I have one coming out of my filter right now, actually. They're great for sucking up nitrates - and as long as the leaves remain out of the water, they will last a very long time even though they are not truly aquatic.
