My local water district will begin adding flouride to the water in late summer/fall. Anyone have experience with aquariums and switching to flouridated water? Is there any chemistry changes I should be worried about?

About the time that change starts, I would do very small water changes at any given time until you know how your fish will react.
I don't believe that flouride, except in very high levels, affects fish very much - I would be more concerned about the change in the chemistry and allowing the fish to acclimate to that change properly.
I would say you might ask the water treatment plant in charge of the flouridation to keep you apprised of flouride levels for the first few weeks if you're really worried. Sometimes they can overshoot a little when they first begin a program like this, but I think it takes rather a lot of flouride to really affect aquarium fish health.

| I think contacting the water department is a great idea. You might also ask them if they are going to change anything else such as increasing the amount of chlorine or chloramine. Also see if they have a website that posts the latest water quality test. SGN
